William Hanson will make his West End debut this summer as he joins the cast of the Olivier Award-winning Titanique at the Criterion Theatre.

The etiquette coach and co-host of the hit podcast ‘Help I Sexted My Boss’ will star as Ruth for six weeks only, from Tuesday 9 June to Sunday 19 July.

The production has also announced an extension of its West End run, with Titanique now booking through to January 2027 following strong demand.

On joining the show, Hanson said: “Quite how I’ve ended up boarding Titaníque, I’m not entirely sure. One minute I’m teaching the world table manners on social media, the next I’m in a sequinned fever dream somewhere in the Piccadilly Circus part of the North Atlantic. Titanique is gloriously bonkers, outrageously funny, and exactly the sort of theatrical chaos I adore. I’m thrilled to be joining this sensational cast and have already begun practising the most important skill for the voyage: judging the other passengers from afar.”

Joining Hanson in the West End company are Lewis Francis as The Iceberg and Nikki Wheeldon as Molly Brown.

AJ Lewis and Joi Lurrie appear as on-stage background vocalists, with Finton Flynn, Josh Lovell and Charlotte Soo as offstage understudies.

They join the existing cast including Rose Galbraith, Astrid Harris, Freddie King, Cameron Vear, Michael Vinsen and Corrine Priest.

Further casting for the role of Ruth from 19 July is to be announced.

TITANIQUE is a high-energy musical comedy packed with Céline Dion hits including My Heart Will Go On, All by Myself and To Love You More, performed alongside a live band.

Described as ‘The West End’s Funniest Musical’, the show blends nostalgia, comedy and powerhouse vocals in a playful reimagining of the iconic film.

Co-written by Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, the musical premiered Off-Broadway in 2022 before transferring to the Daryl Roth Theatre, and has since enjoyed international success.

The production is directed by Tye Blue with choreography by Ellenore Scott, and features a creative team including Nicholas James Connell, Gabriel Hainer Evansohn, Grace Lauchbacher, Alejo Vietti, Paige Seber and Lawrence Schober.

TITANIQUE is produced in London by Eva Price and Michael Harrison.
