On Thursday 19th September 2024, Jasmin Vardimon MBE will premiere her new production NOW at the Gulbenkian in Canterbury, Kent, before the Company tours the UK.

Award-winning choreographer Jasmin Vardimon’s creation revisits favourite moments from the company’s repertoire, while reflecting the current moment, the present and the continuous movement of time. Renowned for her uniquely theatrical choreography, an interest in contemporary lives, and the ever-changing socio-political dynamics, Jasmin uses her distinctive creative approach to celebrate imagination in a griping new production.

With a remarkable international cast of performers, incredibly thought-provoking choreography and iconic moments from the Company repertoire, NOW will celebrate the beauty of imagination and art.

NOW is co-commissioned by Sadler’s Wells London, Kent County Council, and the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries, University of Kent. Jasmin Vardimon has been an Associate Artist for Sadler’s Wells and the iCCi for many years and the relationships have continued to develop through the creation, premieres and performances of Jasmin’s critically acclaimed works.

The premiere of NOW will take place at the Gulbenkian, Canterbury, Kent on Thursday 19th September 2024, with further performances on the 20th & 21st of September. After these performances, the production will go on to tour around the UK: starting at the Northcott in Exeter on 24th September, DanceEast in Ipswich on 26th, 27th & 28th September, Connaught Theatre in Worthing on 1st October, Lawrence Batley in Huddersfield on 4th October, Theatre Severn in Shropshire on 8th October, Nottingham Playhouse on 11th October, His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen on 19th October, and Aberystwyth Arts Centre on 23rd & 24th October. The Company will continue to tour NOW in 2025 to York Theatre Royal on Saturday 8th February, Hall for Cornwall in Truro on Tuesday 18th February and lastly the brand-new Sadler’s Wells East on Wednesday 5th – Saturday 8th March 2025.

The Company are excited to bring the creation to audiences far and wide with more dates to be announced soon.

The 25th Anniversary year of the Company has already been momentous with the UK tour of ALiCE in January, the launch of JVyoU, a Youth Company, a brand-new website for the company, the continuing success of the purpose-built JV H.O.M.E in Ashford, and the creation and premiere of NOW. The company is also set to tour internationally with a first visit to China in August.
