The Belgrade Theatre Coventry has revealed further details of its 2026 season, with an extensive programme of musicals, plays, dance and family entertainment. Tickets for all newly announced productions are on sale now.

Artistic Director Corey Campbell and Interim CEO Emma Flatley confirmed a wide range of shows will visit the venue throughout the year, including the new co‑production of Little Shop of Horrors, West End hit Heathers The Musical and the return of Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful.

Opening the autumn musical season is 9 to 5 The Musical, running from 1 to 5 September. The Dolly Parton favourite follows three office workers who band together to take on their overbearing boss in a story filled with comedy, chaos and sisterhood.

Jonathan Maitland’s Wilko: Love Death and Rock and Roll arrives from London’s West End between 7 and 9 September. The production recounts Wilko Johnson’s extraordinary true story following his terminal cancer diagnosis in 2012.

Heathers The Musical runs from 15 to 19 September, bringing its darkly comic high‑school tale back to the stage following smash hit London and New York runs.

From 13 to 17 October, Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful returns, retelling the story of Tommo Peaceful as he looks back on the relationships and memories that shaped him on the eve of battle.

A new co‑production of Little Shop of Horrors from Exeter Northcott Theatre, Lighthouse Poole and the Belgrade Theatre plays from 27 to 31 October. The production promises big laughs, memorable songs and inventive stagecraft.

Earlier in the year, the Belgrade will also host Katriona O’Sullivan’s Poor (1 to 9 May), followed by David Brady’s Flashbang (7 to 9 May) and nostalgic favourite Malory Towers (12 to 16 May). Laurence Clark’s Cured runs from 11 to 13 June, while Rifco’s Surinderalla plays from 16 to 19 July. Multi‑award‑winning LUNG revives Woodhill on 22 and 23 September.

Family audiences can enjoy Sisters 360 (22 to 23 April), Brainiac: Live (20 June), The Tiger Who Came to Tea (20 to 21 July) and Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas (3 to 27 December). The Belgrade’s annual pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, returns from 18 November to 2 January 2027.

Music and dance events include Falling (14 May), Oddsocks’ Romeo & Juliet (8 to 10 June), and Supernova, featuring Strictly finalist Nikita Kuzmin, on 2 and 3 July. Additional highlights include The Magic of Motown (29 July), Cassa Pancho’s Ballet Black (7 October) and a trio of ballet titles: Swan Lake (2 November), Nutcracker (3 November) and Giselle (4 November). Tribute show Endless Love opens 14 January.
