The Barn Theatre in Cirencester has announced the cast and creative team for its 2025 Christmas production of A Christmas Carol, running from Monday 1 December to Sunday 4 January 2026.

Adapted by Alan Pollock from the classic novel by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol will be directed by Jessica Daniels, with set and costume design by Anna Kelsey and lighting design by Jodie Underwood.

Sound design, composition and musical direction will be led by Anna Pool, with movement direction by Phoebe Hyder. Casting direction is by Anthony Houghton.

The production stars Jack Lord (The Book Thief, War Horse) as Ebenezer Scrooge, alongside Paul Kemble (Top Hat, To The Streets) as Narrator 4, Fezziwig and Bob Cratchit.

Sam Lightfoot-Loftus (Twelfth Night, Wishmas) plays Narrator 5, Fred and Young Scrooge, while Louise Faulkner (Eastenders, Lady Windermere’s Fan) takes on Narrator 1, Mrs Cratchit and Mrs Fezziwig.

Barn Theatre CEO and Artistic Director Iwan Lewis and Executive Director Liam McMullan said, “We’re delighted to be bringing Alan Pollock’s brilliant adaptation of A Christmas Carol back to the Barn this festive season. With Jess Daniels’ inspired direction, this timeless story will be reimagined with the heart, humour and magic that make Christmas at the Barn so special.”

This magical adaptation promises to capture the true spirit of the season, with an enchanting original score and a heartwarming tale of redemption.
