Thomas Hopkins Productions has announced casting for the world premiere of The Hidden Dangers of Camping, a new play by Liesl Wilke, which will run at Windsor Theatre Royal this summer.
The production will play from Friday 17 July to Saturday 25 July, with a gala night performance on Tuesday 21 July at 7pm.
Charlie Brooks will star alongside Max Brown in the gripping family drama, directed by Olivier-nominated director Bronagh Lagan.
Brooks is best known for her work in EastEnders, as well as stage roles including The Ocean at the End of the Lane and A Streetcar Named Desire.
Brown’s credits include Downton Abbey, The Tudors and The Sister Boniface Mysteries.
Described as funny, honest and quietly heartbreaking, The Hidden Dangers of Camping follows one family over a single weekend as long-buried truths resurface.
“When Casey’s life is shaken by her daughter’s choices, she’s pulled back to a childhood camping trip that wasn’t as perfect as it seemed,” the synopsis reveals.
The cast also includes Polly Allen, Alix Dunmore, Sandra James-Young, Sophie Mensah, Scarlett Nunes, Stephen Rahman-Hughes, Olivia Woolhouse and Jess Nesling.
The creative team is completed by casting director Rob Kelly, with general management by Thomas Hopkins Productions.
Director Bronagh Lagan previously helmed the Olivier-nominated Cruise, the first new play to reopen the West End following the pandemic.
