Hope Mill Theatre has announced that Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank will lead the cast of Young Frankenstein when the production transfers to Liverpool Playhouse for a limited five-week run this festive season.
Performances begin on 3 December 2025 and continue through to 3 January 2026, with a press night scheduled for 4 December.
Currently enjoying its regional premiere at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester, Young Frankenstein stars Ore Oduba in the lead role until the end of its run on 30 November.
Joining Brocklebank in Liverpool will be Amelia Adams (Annie, Jersey Boys) as Elizabeth Benning. Returning cast members include Jessica Martin as Frau Blücher, Pete Gallagher as The Monster, Curtis Patrick as Igor, Simeon Truby as Inspector Hans Kemp/Harold the Hermit, and Julie Yammanee as Inga.
The ensemble also features Belle Kizzy Green, Robin Kent, Bryan Mottram, Alanna Panditaratne, Nathan Ryles, Hakeem Tinubu, Patricia Wilkins, and Jessica Wright.
Daniel Brocklebank is best known for his role as Billy Mayhew in Coronation Street. His screen credits include Shakespeare In Love, Release, Emmerdale, WPC 56, Finding Joy, Midsomer Murders, Casualty, and All Star Musicals, which he won in 2019.

Adapted by Mel Brooks from his 1974 film, Young Frankenstein follows Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) as he inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With help from Igor and Inga, he brings a creature to life, leading to comic chaos.
Celebrating Hope Mill Theatre’s 10th anniversary, this production promises a theatrical twist on the cult classic, featuring songs like The Transylvania Mania, He Vas My Boyfriend, and Puttin’ on the Ritz.
Direction and choreography are by Nick Winston, with musical direction by Francesca Warren and Charlie Ingles. The creative team includes Sophia Pardon (set design), Ben Harrison (sound), Aaron J Dootson (lighting), Matt Powell (video/projection), Lorraine Parry (costumes), Jackie Sweeney (wigs/makeup), Noah Ehrhardt (prosthetics), Lauren Kate Hampton (associate choreography), and casting by Jim Arnold CDG.
