Judith Dimant Productions today announces the return of EVITA TOO, a musical from Fringe favourites Sh!t Theatre, opening at Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room this December.

Rebecca Biscuit and Louise Mothersole, the duo behind Sh!t Theatre, transform their research trip to Argentina into a chaotic and hilarious celebration of Isabel Perón, the world’s first female president.

Directed by Ursula Martinez, EVITA TOO blends DIY documentary, original music, and theatrical anarchy to explore forgotten female leaders, populism, and legacy.

The show opens on 11 December, with previews from 9 December, and runs until 31 December. It is supported by the Southbank Centre.

ā€œJoin disco dictators Becca and Louise for the wild story of Isabel Perón, Gogo dancer turned president, who led Argentina for 18 disastrous months before being overthrown in a military coup,ā€ reads the show’s description.

During Isabel’s presidency, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice were writing Evita, a musical about her husband’s ex-wife. Now, Sh!t Theatre are here to tell Isabel’s story — one that history forgot.

EVITA TOO follows Sh!t Theatre’s journey across Argentina and Spain in search of Isabel, who is still alive and living in Madrid. The duo save their footage, dig into archives, and create a musical to rival Evita.

ā€œTruth! Justice! Songs! Wizards?! Yes, wizards. And, if you play your cards right, naked roller-skating,ā€ promises the production.

Sh!t Theatre have been creating politically engaged performance for 15 years. Their work has won multiple awards including the Off West End IDEA Award for Best Performance 2023, Adelaide Fringe Best Theatre Award 2020, and two Scotsman Fringe First Awards.

Following the success of …..Or What’s Left of Us in 2024, they’ve toured internationally, including performances at Shedinburgh, Soho Theatre, Bristol Old Vic, Lisbon, Melbourne Fringe, and Sydney Fringe.
