Faye Brookes will lead the first UK tour of Burlesque the Musical as Tess, the iconic club owner originally played by Cher in the 2010 film.
The production, which follows a sold-out and critically acclaimed West End premiere at the Savoy Theatre, will open at New Victoria Theatre, Woking on 25 July before touring to 24 venues across 2026 and 2027.
Inspired by Steven Antin’s Golden Globe-winning film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, Burlesque the Musical promises a high-energy theatrical experience filled with powerhouse vocals, striking choreography and dazzling spectacle.
Joining Brookes is Ryan Carter, who will play Sean and Ms Loretta, and Gracie O’Brien making her professional stage debut as Ali Rose.
The cast also features Davide Fienauri as Vince, Tyler Davis as Jackson, and Vanessa Ela Young as Nikki.
The story follows Ali as she searches for her mother in New York, only to be drawn into an underground world of ambition, glamour and temptation, where music and identity collide.
The production is written, produced and creatively directed by Steven Antin, with direction from Racky Plews and choreography by Robin Antin, creator of The Pussycat Dolls, alongside Aaron Renfree.
Songs from Christina Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley, Todrick Hall and Steven Antin feature in the show, which celebrates self-discovery, empowerment and unapologetic individuality.
Brookes is best known for her award-winning role in Coronation Street and has previously starred in Chicago, Legally Blonde, Shrek and Strictly Ballroom.
The UK tour will visit major venues including Sunderland Empire, Glasgow King’s Theatre, Birmingham Alexandra, Manchester Opera House and Liverpool Empire, among many others through to May 2027.
A separate London production starring Olivier Award winner Cassidy Janson will open at The Arts at Marble Arch this September, with further casting to be announced.
