Paula Wagner and Tom Werner have announced the full cast for the world premiere of High Noon, a gripping new stage adaptation of the iconic 1952 Western film.
Joining Emmy and Tony Award-winner Billy Crudup and Olivier Award-winner Denise Gough are Billy Howle, Rosa Salazar, Simon Chandler, James Doherty, Misha Handley, Joshua Hill, Jonah Russell, Rebecca Lee and Tim Steed.
High Noon is directed by Olivier Award-winner Thea Sharrock and will run for a strictly limited season at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 17 December 2025 to 6 March 2026.
Written by Academy Award-winner Eric Roth, known for Forrest Gump and Dune, High Noon marks Roth’s debut work for the stage. The play is based on the original screenplay by Carl Foreman and was originally produced by Stanley Kramer and directed by Fred Zinnemann.
This real-time thriller is described as “not just a play, it’s a wake-up call,” and promises to speak urgently to the world today.
Set in the American West of the 1800s, High Noon explores themes of courage versus cowardice, justice versus peace, and duty versus desire.
At the heart of the story is the bond between Will Kane and Amy Fowler, a love tested by impossible choices as the clock ticks down to the return of deadly outlaw Frank Miller.
As time runs out, one truth remains: if you don’t stand up for what’s worth saving, you risk losing it all.
