Full casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Beetlejuice The Musical, which opens at the Prince Edward Theatre from Wednesday 20 May 2026.
The production, presented by Crossroads Live and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, will play a strictly limited run through to Saturday 17 April 2027.
Following the earlier announcement that David Fynn will star as Beetlejuice, it has now been confirmed that Tom Xander will join the company as alternate Beetlejuice. Tom Xander received an Olivier Award nomination in 2025 for Mean Girls and has previously appeared in Wendy & Peter Pan and The Book of Mormon.
Hannah Nordberg will star as Lydia Deetz. Her stage credits include Little Miss Sunshine on Broadway, while screen work includes Euphoria and Longmire.
Adam and Barbara Maitland will be played by David Hunter and Chelsea Halfpenny. David Hunter’s theatre credits include The Time Traveller’s Wife, Waitress and Kinky Boots, while Chelsea Halfpenny is best known for her screen roles in Emmerdale and Casualty, alongside stage appearances in 9 to 5: The Musical and Waitress.
Alasdair Harvey will appear as Charles Deetz, with Aimie Atkinson as Delia. Aimie Atkinson is known as an original Queen in Six The Musical and has recently appeared in Death Note and Pretty Woman.
Chasity Crisp will make her West End debut as Maxine Dean and Juno, with Richard Frame as Otho and Irvine Iqbal as Maxie Dean.
Rachel Macdougall will play Girl Scout, and Vanessa Aurora Sierra will appear as Miss Argentina, having previously played the role on Broadway.
The ensemble includes Jemma Alexander, Samuel Bangs, Natasha Cayabyab, Chris Draper, Harley Emmitt, Catherine McCormick, Robbie McMillan, Kieran Mellish, Elliott Parry, Jacob Smith, Adam Taylor, Tyler Timmins and Issie Wilman.
Based on Tim Burton’s cult 1988 film, Beetlejuice The Musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose life is turned upside down by the ghost-with-the-most.
The musical features a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King, music and lyrics by Eddie Perfect, and is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers.
The Broadway production has enjoyed multiple runs in New York, toured extensively across the United States and played internationally in Tokyo, Seoul, Melbourne and Abu Dhabi.
