New production photography has been released for the West End production of Hadestown, now playing at the Lyric Theatre, London.

The latest images feature BRIT Award-winning Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts in the role of Persephone.

Roberts joins a stellar cast including Desmonda Cathabel as Eurydice, Chris Jarman as Hades, Cedric Neal as Hermes, and Dylan Wood as Orpheus.

The Fates are played by Melanie Bright, Allie Daniel and Lauran Rae. The Workers are portrayed by Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham, Laura Delany and Sebastian Lim-Seet.

Swings include Lucinda Buckley, Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda and Jasmine Triadi.

It has also been announced that Hadestown will extend its run at the Lyric Theatre due to popular demand, with performances now booking to 27 September 2026.

Casting for the new booking period will be announced at a later date.

Blending American songwriting traditions from indie folk to pop, blues, and New Orleans-inspired jazz, Hadestown features music, lyrics and book by Tony® and Grammy®-winning singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell.

Mitchell originally created Hadestown as an indie theatre project and album, later transforming it into a genre-defying musical with Tony® Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin.

Hadestown intertwines two mythic love stories – Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and Persephone – in a journey to the underworld and back.

A deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience, Hadestown invites audiences to imagine how the world could be.

The creative team includes David Neumann (Choreography), Rachel Hauck (Scenic Design), Michael Krass (Costume Design), Bradley King (Lighting Design), Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz (Sound Design), Liam Robinson (Music Supervision and Vocal Arrangements), Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose (Arrangements and Orchestrations), Ken Cerniglia (Dramaturgy), Maria Crocker (UK Associate Director), and Tarek Merchant (Musical Director & Associate Music Supervisor).

Casting is by Jacob Sparrow, with additional casting by Rob Kelly.

Hadestown is produced in London by Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, Tom Kirdahy and the National Theatre in association with JAS Theatricals.
