The studio cast recording of Jo – The Little Women Musical, a new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel Little Women, is released globally today, Friday 23rd May 2025.
With music by Dan Redfeld and book and lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej, Jo – The Little Women Musical reimagines the classic coming-of-age story with a sweeping cinematic score and a fresh narrative.
The album was recorded at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios and features a 29-piece orchestra. It is produced by five-time Grammy nominee and three-time Emmy winner Nigel Wright, alongside Dan Redfeld.
The star-studded cast includes Tony Award® winner Laura Benanti as Marmee March, two-time Tony Award® winner Christine Ebersole as Aunt March, and Olivier-nominated Julian Ovenden as Father.
Christine Allado, Grammy Award nominee, leads as Jo March, with Bob Gunton as Grandfather, Kelly Mathieson as Meg March, Sophie Pollono as Amy March, and Eleanor Grant as Beth March.
The cast also features Rob Houchen as Laurie, Chris Mann as Professor Bhaer, Liam Tamne as John Brooke, Tobias Turley as Fred Vaughn, and Miyuki Miyagi as Sallie Gardiner.

The full show will be presented in a semi-staged concert in London at a future date, directed by JoAnn M. Hunter, whose Broadway credits include Bad Cinderella and School of Rock.
