King’s Head Theatre has unveiled its 2026 Spring Season, running from January to August, featuring six dynamic productions that span musicals, revivals, political drama, and dance

Opening the season is Already Perfect, a new musical written by and starring Tony Award-winner Levi Kreis. Set in a theatre dressing room, the show explores the intersection of religion and LGBTQ+ identity, with a score ranging from gospel to ballad. Produced by Larry Lelli, Already Perfect runs from 9 January to 15 February.

Next is a revival of Phil Porter’s Blink, a bittersweet rom-com updated for the digital age. Starring Abigail Thorn, the production is directed by Simon Paris and produced by Metal Rabbit Productions. Blink runs from 19 February to 22 March.

From 26 March to 3 May, Tom Salinsky and Robert Khan return with In the Print, a politically charged drama set during the 1985 Battle of Wapping. Directed by Josh Roche, the play continues the duo’s exploration of real-life political stories.

Dance and physical theatre take centre stage from 6 May to 7 June with Derrière On a G String. Directed by Alfred Taylor-Gaunt and starring Sammy Moore, the show is a chaotic and homoerotic subversion of classical music, blending comedy with physical performance.

Running over Pride Month, What’s Wrong with Angry? returns from 10 June to 5 July. Patrick Wilde’s seminal 1992 gay play is revived by director Scott Le Crass and co-produced by Lauren Reed Productions. The story follows two schoolboys navigating their sexuality under Section 28.

Closing the season is the world premiere of Here Comes J. Edgar – A Musical Comedy, running from 10 July to 16 August. Co-written by Harry Shearer and Tom Leopold, with music by Peter Matz, the show explores the secret life of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover in the style of a 1950s musical. Directed by Josh Seymour, it promises high kicks and sharp satire.

Sofi Berenger, Executive Producer and CEO of King’s Head Theatre, said:

“I couldn’t be more excited about this new season of work – it feels like a real landmark moment, and an indication of the work we wanted to see on our stage when we opened the new building. This new season feels like a testament to the bold, brilliant shows and incredible artists we’ve been lucky enough to work with over the past two years. The momentum we’ve built is finally starting to come to fruition, and this season feels like a celebration of that journey.”

“On a personal note, I’m thrilled to be producing Blink through my own company, Metal Rabbit Productions, and to be collaborating once again with the phenomenal Abigail Thorn after our hit show The Prince in 2022.”

“There’s a real sense of ambition and ownership running through everything right now, and I can’t wait to share it all with audiences.”
