Truth or Dare Britney or Goofy Nacht und Nebel Jesus Christ or Superstar Unicorn Theatre

Following the huge critical success of The Hamilton Complex, experimental Belgian theatre makers Hetpaleis return to the Unicorn in a co-production with the UK premiere of their new show Truth or Dare, Britney or Goofy, Nacht und Nebel, Jesus Christ or Superstar.  This Unicorn co-commission will play for a limited run at the venue as part of an extensive European tour.

Director Lies Pauwels brings together seven young adults from real life, all of whom have emotional or psychological vulnerabilities. Alongside these young adults, the cast also includes three real-life fashion models and a priest. Together, they explore the demons we wrestle with, as individuals and as a world.

The performance confronts us, through the unique casting with three special worlds and each in their own way can tell us about who we are and how our society really functions.

Pauwels’ work is challenging, perceptive and authentic. In this piece, she pushes the boundaries of truth just that little bit further, creating a world in which nothing is obvious, yet everything is recognisable.

The cast is Delfine Bafort, Luna-Francine Benhelima, Niels Goetschalckx, Rémy Jacobs, Joséphine Mwasii, Kim Peers, Lena Peters, Maïa-Irène Tyck, Anne-Laure Vandeputte, Jeroen Van Staey and Taylor Acquires.
