Hampstead Theatre has announced an extension for Tom Stoppard’s Indian Ink due to phenomenal demand. The first major revival of the play will now conclude its run on Saturday 7 February 2026.

Priority booking for the newly released performances opens today for Hampstead Theatre Patrons and Friends, with public booking available from Wednesday 7 January.

Directed by Jonathan Kent, the production stars Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Felicity Kendal and Gavi Singh Chera, alongside a talented ensemble including Sagar Arya, Mark Carlisle, Neil D’Souza, Tom Durant-Pritchard, Aaron Gill, Irvine Iqbal, Donald Sage Mackay, Evan Milton, Bethany Muir and Sushant Shekhar.

Greg Ripley-Duggan, Producer and Chief Executive at Hampstead Theatre, said: “The response to Indian Ink has been so extraordinary that I am thrilled we have found a way to extend its run. These extra performances will allow many more people to see Tom Stoppard’s glorious play and we look forward to welcoming them all to Hampstead Theatre.”

Set across two timelines, the play follows Flora Crewe, a Bloomsbury Group poet travelling through India in 1930, and decades later, her sister Mrs Swan in England as secrets from Flora’s past come to light.
