Hailing from Cripple Creek, Colorado, the award-winning cowboy comedian Wilson Dixon returns to the UK after a nine-year absence, bringing his unique brand of laconic storytelling and hilarious songs to the Soho Theatre from 25th – 30th June. He will then be appearing at The Stand Glasgow on 1st July and The Stand Edinburgh on 1st July and 3rd July, before moseying on down to Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff on 4th July.

Wilson Dixon heads back to the UK to escape his relaxed country lifestyle where things are falling apart at the seams: songs about heartbreak, wheat fields and farm animals are no problem for Wilson, but country music about terrorism and neoliberal monetary policy turns out to be tricky and way more challenging. After all, three chords just doesn’t feel like enough chords anymore.

But more importantly, will Wilson find his one true love? Living next door to his ex-wife Maureen (who is opening his mail), certainly makes meeting new women more difficult. If he finally does find romance, how will Andrew (his grumpy and extremely aggressive horse) react to that development?

The star of BBC Radio 2’s The Wilson Dixon Line, previously seen supporting Stewart Lee on tour and performing across the UK with successful runs in London and at major festivals across the country, Wilson Dixon is a Chortle Award nominee and three-time Barry Award nominee (Melbourne International Comedy Festival).
