Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre announces Echo & The Bunnymen for Live Music Week

Post-punk pioneers to open week-long concert series at the Open Air Theatre this September

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced that Echo & The Bunnymen will perform as part of its Live Music Week 2026.

Presented in partnership with Communion ONE, the band will open the curated concert series with a headline performance on Tuesday 22 September 2026.

Live Music Week will run from 22 to 27 September 2026, celebrating a range of artists from legendary icons to emerging talent, set against the outdoor backdrop of Regent’s Park.

       

Echo & The Bunnymen are pioneers of post-punk and have influenced artists including Coldplay, The Killers, Garbage, The Flaming Lips and Hole.

The band are known for seminal albums including Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain, alongside later releases such as Evergreen, What Are You Going to Do with Your Life?, Flowers, Siberia, The Fountain and Meteorites.

Their most recent studio album, The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon, was released in 2018 and was described by Q Magazine as “Magical”.

Tickets for the performance will go on sale to members with priority booking at 10am on Wednesday 22 April, ahead of general sale at 10am on Friday 24 April.
