Ae Fond Kiss Songs of Home from The West End

Songs of Home From The West End is a new album produced in total isolation due to Covid-19, featuring London-based Scottish West End stars singing new arrangements of Scottish songs.

Adam Gerber (Scottish Musical Director and Composer working in and around London’s West End) has joined with six Scottish performers who find themselves out of work due to the Covid-19 lockdown closing all theatres. A moving and heartfelt collection of some of Scotland’s finest ballads, Ae Fond Kiss – Songs Of Home From The West End, allows a somewhat modern musical-theatre twist on classic songs, all recorded in the artists’ homes.

Adam Gerber (arranger and producer) said “During this time of isolation people are feeling especially homesick, we wanted to create a musical love letter: something honest and pure which would hopefully let people relax and escape for just a short time.”

Featured artists on the album are:

Danielle Fiamanya singing ‘Skye Boat Song’  Danielle recently won The Stage’s Debut Award for Best Actress in a Musical 2019. Credits include: & Juliet (Shaftesbury Theatre), The Color Purple (Curve Theatre)
