As The Comedy About Spies prepares for its final West End performance on 5 September 2025, Mischief has announced that the hit production will be filmed live at London’s Noël Coward Theatre.

Three performances will be captured on 20 August at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and on 21 August at 7.30pm. These special recordings aim to preserve the laughter and chaos that have made the show a five-star favourite.

Audiences can be part of the filming experience by booking tickets at www.SpiesComedy.com. Details on the release of the filmed version will be shared at a later date.

Since opening in April, The Comedy About Spies has seen 1,545 bottles of Shiraz thrown out of windows, 315 pigeon attacks, and 115 bananas eaten on stage.

The cast features original Mischief Company members Dave Hearn, Chris Leask, Henry Lewis, Charlie Russell, Henry Shields, Greg Tannahill, and Nancy Zamit, with Adele James making her Mischief debut.

The plot follows a rogue British agent who steals plans for a top-secret weapon, prompting a chaotic chase involving CIA and KGB operatives, a clueless couple, and a wannabe James Bond.

The creative team includes Director Matt DiCarlo, Set Designer David Farley, Costume Designer Deborah Andrews, Movement Director Shelley Maxwell, Lighting Designer Johanna Town, and Sound Designer/Composer Jon Fiber for JollyGoodTunes.

Casting is by Lucy Jenkins CDG & Sooki McShane CDG, with additional casting by Heather Basten CDG CSA. The Executive Producer is Jonathan Sayer.

The Comedy About Spies is presented by Kenny Wax and Stage Presence in association with Jo Danvers.
