Birmingham Rep’s beloved festive production The Snowman returns to the West End this Christmas, celebrating its 28th year at the Peacock Theatre.

Running from Saturday 22 November 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, this magical stage adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ classic picture book and the animated film directed by Dianne Jackson has become a staple of London’s holiday season.

Featuring Howard Blake’s iconic score, including the timeless “Walking in the Air,” The Snowman is performed with a live orchestra and choreographed by Robert North. The production is directed by Bill Alexander, with design by Ruari Murchison and lighting by Tim Mitchell.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of Aled Jones’ recording of “Walking in the Air,” adding an extra layer of celebration to the show’s run.

The story follows a young boy whose snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve. Together, they embark on a magical journey to the North Pole, encountering dancing penguins, a snow princess, and Father Christmas himself.
