The Barn Theatre in Cirencester has announced a dazzling one-night-only event, A Spectacular Night of Song, taking place on Sunday 2 November.

This special evening will feature two of British musical theatre’s most celebrated performers: Liz Robertson and Robert Meadmore.

Liz Robertson, known for her roles in The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, The King and I, and Mary Poppins, will share the stage with Robert Meadmore, whose credits include Oklahoma!, Camelot, My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Accompanied by acclaimed Musical Director Simon Beck, the evening promises a rich repertoire of songs from Sondheim to Lloyd Webber, Lerner & Loewe to Rodgers & Hammerstein, and the Great American Songbook.

In a joint statement, Liz Robertson and Robert Meadmore said:
“Between us, we’ve performed in many musicals, but only once together – My Fair Lady. We’ve always hoped to share the stage again and now feels like the perfect moment to create a special night of music and song.
We’ve long admired The Barn Theatre and its remarkable variety of productions. When we shared our idea, the team embraced it immediately. The Barn is the perfect setting, and we’re thrilled to step onto its stage together this autumn.”
