The Menier Chocolate Factory’s critically acclaimed production of The Producers is set to transfer to London’s West End this Autumn.

The hit musical, with book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and music & lyrics by Mel Brooks, will open at the Garrick Theatre on 15 September, with previews starting from 30 August.

The production, which has been a sell-out success at the Menier Chocolate Factory, is scheduled to run until 21 February 2026.

Several cast members from the original Menier run will be reprising their roles, including Andy Nyman, Marc Antolin, Trevor Ashley, Raj Ghatak, Harry Morrison, and Joanna Woodward.

Mel Brooks expressed his excitement about the West End transfer, saying, “Hello Brits! My record-breaking musical, The Producers, is coming back to the West End! I couldn’t be more proud of this show. I can’t wait to sit in the Garrick Theatre and be bathed in laughter.”

David Babani, Artistic Director of the Menier Chocolate Factory, commented on the transfer, praising the cast and expressing his pride in the production.

Producer Nica Burns added her enthusiasm, describing The Producers as “a total hoot” and encouraging audiences to “run to the box office!”

The West End run of The Producers will offer over 18,000 tickets at £25, making the show accessible to a wide range of theatre-goers.

Priority booking for the West End transfer opens on 3 March, with public booking available from 5 March.

Full cast and creative team details for the West End production will be announced in due course.
