Mischief, the multi-award-winning company behind The Play That Goes Wrong, has announced that its festive hit Christmas Carol Goes Wrong will return to the West End later this year.
The production will run at Wyndham’s Theatre from Friday 18 December 2026 to Saturday 23 January 2027, marking its second West End season.
Alongside the London engagement, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong will embark on a second UK tour, opening at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on 27 October 2026 and continuing until 27 February 2027.
The show will also make its North American premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, with performances running from 12 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.
An Australian run is scheduled from 1 to 29 December 2026, with venues yet to be announced, following the success of previous Mischief tours in the region.
Written by original Mischief members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong sees the Cornley Amateur Drama Society attempt to stage Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, only for chaos, rivalries and technical disasters to unfold.
The production is directed by Matt DiCarlo, who recently helmed Mischief’s The Comedy About Spies, and features a creative team including set designer Libby Todd, costume designer Roberto Surace, lighting designer David Howe, and sound designer and composer Alexandra Faye Braithwaite.
The cast for the upcoming runs has yet to be announced.
