Punchdrunk has announced a major new partnership with Wynn Al Marjan Island, marking the company’s first production in the MENA region and a significant expansion of its immersive theatre work.
The internationally acclaimed company, known for Sleep No More, will create an original production to open alongside the new luxury resort in Ras Al Khaimah in 2027.
The show will be conceived and directed by Punchdrunk’s Founder and Artistic Director Felix Barrett, in collaboration with Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings.
Inspired by the spirit of a classic Las Vegas revue, the production will combine song, dance and immersive storytelling, offering audiences two distinct ways to experience the performance.
Guests will be able to choose between a traditional seated show or a roaming, immersive journey through backstage areas, with each version presenting a unique perspective on the same narrative.
The purpose-built theatre has been designed to be fully immersive, with Art Deco influences and spaces that form part of the storytelling experience from the moment audiences arrive.
Punchdrunk has become one of the most influential theatre companies of the past two decades, pioneering large-scale immersive productions that allow audiences to move freely through performance spaces.
Their hit production Sleep No More ran in New York for 14 years and continues internationally, while their work has helped redefine contemporary theatre worldwide.
