The new musical Rosie has confirmed its first casting and creative team for its one-night-only West End debut at the Adelphi Theatre on 17 March 2026.
Producers Cavendish Productions, Paul Morrissey Ltd and Darren Bell Productions will present the semi-staged gala performance following more than a decade of development.
Lucy Thomas will lead the production in the title role. She will be joined by Will Callan as Geoffrey Taylour Marquis of Headfort, Desmonda Cathabel as Lily Turner, Madalena Alberto as Annie Boote, and Charles Brunton as Lord Harrington.
The cast also includes Connor Carson as James Walker, Alexander Evans as Lord Ashcroft, Rebecca Gilliland as Duchess of Westminster, Gavin James as George Edwardes, Brady Isaacs Pearce as Eleanour Richards, Jackie Pulford as Mother Superior, Lydia Sterling as Daisy Harris and Helen Woolf as Sister Catherine. Santi Cohen will appear as Young Rosie, with Lois Haidar as Young Rosie (Standby).
Further casting is to be announced.
The musical will be directed and choreographed by Cressida Carré with set design by Steve Howell, lighting design by Jamie Platt and sound design by Paul Smith. The creative team also includes props supervision by Katie Balmforth, musical direction by Yshani Perinpanayagam, assistant musical direction by Erika Gundesen, production management by Pete Kramer and casting by Sarah-Jane Price.
Rosie follows the remarkable real-life story of Miss Rosie Boote, who grew up in an Irish convent and pursued her dream of becoming a star on the Edwardian West End stage. The show traces her journey through ambition, scandal and resilience.
A studio cast album was released in 2024 and achieved significant online success, with songs including Starlight, Suddenly and Broken Dreams earning six International Songwriting Awards.
The musical features original concept, music and lyrics by Chris Broom, and is produced by Cavendish Productions, Paul Morrissey Ltd and Darren Bell Productions.
