British comedian and writer Rosie Jones will star alongside Ed Larkin in Birds of Paradise’s bold new production We indulge in a bit of roll play, running at Tramway, Glasgow from Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 February 2026, with press night on Friday 20 February.

The show explores perceptions around intimacy and disabled lives, confronting assumptions with originality and honesty. It follows Ben, played by Larkin, a young disabled man juggling parents, university and his sometimes girlfriend. Guiding him through this precarious balance is CripGod, an ethereal narrator played by Jones.

Joining Jones and Larkin in the cast are Zoe Hunter, Alan Mackenzie and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduate Ava Duncan. The production also features performance artists including Myla Corvidae, Eilidh Ellery, Freak the Clown, Roxy Nova and Indrid Heron.

Written by Hana Pascal Keegan, Gabriella Sloss and Robert Softley Gale, and directed by Gale, We indulge in a bit of roll play begins as a sharp domestic comedy before evolving into a poignant and eye-opening theatrical piece. The show champions disabled lives and provokes crucial discussions around explicit storytelling and empowerment.

The creative team includes designer Kat Radeva, lighting by Simon Hayes, sound by Chris Gorman and intimacy coordination by Vanessa Coffey. Birds of Paradise Theatre Company continues its commitment to creatively embedded access, with captions, BSL interpretation and audio description available at every performance.
